Integrative Health Coach and Certified Nature Connection Guide, Carol Roberge, will tell you that sometimes in our “human selves” we can become so consumed with life that we miss what is around us. Most of us will agree. This busy holiday season, join Roberge on a gentle, guided nature walk inspired by the practice of Shinrin-yoku — “forest bathing.” Take time out, slow down and focus your senses, becoming present with all that is around you. Nature is waiting for you to notice her. And what might we experience? Perhaps it’s the lowering of stress, a feeling of joy or peace, a new sense of curiosity and wonder, a remembering or an awakening of our heart sense, our connection to ourselves and to the land. The walk ends with a ceremony sharing tea from foraged plants. As we step into a new year let us open to new possibilities. Please dress for the weather and feel free to bring a journal or sketch pad to record your experiences.
