Join us for our annual Sundays in the Garden Spring Concert Series featuring classical guitar by Andrea Roberto. The concert is free with admission and free for members as one of the many amazing membership benefits.

Be sure to visit the cash bar for beer and wine, prickly pear lemonade, and our famous prickly pear margaritas. Treat yourself to a wonderful afternoon outdoors, sipping wine, and listening to live music. Seating is limited, so please arrive early. Andrea Roberto, born in Foggia on 26 October 1995, began studying the chiatarra at the age of 4 with his father. Followed also by the maestro Antonio Sepalone, at the age of 9 he was admitted to the “U. Giordano” conservatory in the class of Maestro Sandro Torlontano, with whom he began a particular educational path that led him to attain, at the age of 14, the diploma with honors and special mention. Later he decided to follow Maestro Aniello Desiderio both in Naples and at the International Academy of Koblenz in Germany. Finally he completed his studies at the Maastricht Conservatory (Netherlands) with the maestro Carlo Marchione.

His artistic career includes numerous experiences and awards that have led him to perform in various countries including: Italy, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Finland, Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and the United States.


He has participated in radio broadcasts such as Vatican radio, radio hoy por hoy of Albacete (Spain)

-In 2006 he received the “INNER WHEEL ITALY” award as the best student of the U. Giordano Conservatory.

-In 2007 he was invited to perform in the radio show “Conservatori in concerto” at Radio Vaticana

– In 2009 he won the “Joven Promesa” award at the international competition Jose Tomàs – Villa de Petrer (Spain).

– In 2010 he won the “Walter Cococcia” award as the youngest graduate of all Italian conservatories;

-In 2010 he won the first prize “Juvenil” in the international competition Jose Tomàs _ Vila de Petrer.

-In 2012 he won the first prize in the international competition of pescara Andres Segovia.

– In 2013 he won the first prize at the Stefano Pisa International Strata Competition.

-In 2016 he won the first prize in the international competition “Twents” in Enschede (Netherlands)

-In 2016 he won the first “profesional” prize at the prestigious Jose Tomas-Villa de Petrer, Spain international competition.

-In 2017 he recorded his first CD “El Viaje de la guitarra italiana” with the record company JSG Records in Castellon de la Plana (Valencia). Recently the tracks on the disc were broadcast on the internacioal radio espanola RTVE- Madrid.

In November 2017 he was included in the European Euro String project, sponsored by the European Union which in 2018 led him to perform in 14 guitar festivals in Europe.

On June 1, 2019 he received the gold medal at the prestigious Parkening international Guitar Competition held at Pepperdine University Malibu- California.

Recommended  by David Russell and Sergio Assad, he was offered an Assistantship position in the class of Professor Tom Patterson at the University of Arizon,Tucson (USA).
