Join us for our annual Sundays in the Garden Fall Concert Series featuring the classical harp music of Katie Damon. The concert is free with admission and free for members as one of the many amazing membership benefits.

Be sure to visit the cash bar for beer and wine, prickly pear lemonade, and our famous prickly pear margaritas. Treat yourself to a wonderful afternoon outdoors, sipping wine, and listening to live music. Seating is limited, so please arrive early. The concert series is brought you in part by the Tucson Guitar Society.

Katie Damon presented her first solo recital at the age of 14.  Having decided that she wanted to play the harp at the age of 13 months, she has since performed across the United States and in Mexico, Japan, Italy, and Hong Kong.

Katie was a semifinalist at the Mexico International Harp Competition and a finalist at the Young Artists’ Harp Competition.  She was also awarded Honorable Mention at the American String Teachers’ Association Competition.  Katie is particularly honored to have been awarded a Superior rating for twelve years in a row at the American Harp Society Utah Chapter Festival, in addition to two High Score Awards.

Katie will graduate from the University of Arizona in Spring of 2020 with a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance and a Bachelor of Arts in Russian Language.  She is grateful for the tutelage of Dr. Heidi Hernandez of Phoenix as she prepares to audition for graduate programs in music.  Her other major teachers include Julie Gaisford Keyes and Dr. Carrol McLaughlin.
