Nature Therapy Guide, Carol Roberge, will tell you that sometimes in our “human selves” we can become so consumed with life that we miss what is around us. “Forest Bathing”, inspired by the practice of Shinrin-yoku, is a way of moving through a landscape that invites slowing down and simply noticing. On this guided meander through the gardens, we’ll engage our senses, becoming ever present, as we learn to open ourselves to the changing, mysterious and nuanced ways of a place. Scientifically proven to enhance our health and nourish our spirit, it is also a threshold to help us remember and nurture our relationship with the natural world around us. The walk concludes with a ceremony of sharing tea comprised of local native plants. You’re welcome to bring along a note pad for capturing inspiration.
