Take a ride on the Tucson streetcar to see the public art created for this major project. This presentation will focus on the historical connection to art and transportation in general: how the project was funded; and the process for selecting works; show-and-tell about each work’s title and artist; and how each work interprets the theme “flow.” This talk will be given by TMA Docent, Alinda Hakanson.

The Tucson Museum of Art and Historic Block encompasses an entire city block in historic downtown Tucson and houses a growing collection of nearly 12,000 works of art spanning over 3,000 years of history. Connecting art to life through meaningful and engaging experiences that inspire discovery, spark creativity, and promote cultural understanding. This event, hosted by Tohono Chul, is a part of the TMA’s Docent Art Talks program.
