Policies
Service Animal Policy
For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted on the grounds and should not be left in vehicles. In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Arizona state law, service animals and service animals in training are welcome at Tohono Chul.
We kindly ask that guests with service animals check in at Admissions upon arrival. While documentation is not required, staff may ask whether the animal is needed due to a disability and what task or work it has been trained to perform.
Please note that much of Tohono Chul consists of natural Sonoran Desert terrain, which may be challenging for some animals. High temperatures, hot walking surfaces, spiny plants, and native wildlife including coyotes, javelina, rattlesnakes, and scorpions may be present.
Therapy animals and emotional support animals, as defined under the ADA, are not permitted.
Location Shooting
Tohono Chul is a stunning location for photography and filming, showcasing the natural beauty and cultural richness of the Sonoran Desert. We welcome inquiries from photographers and filmmakers seeking to capture the unique landscapes and vibrant flora of our gardens.
Please note that we receive many requests, particularly during our busy seasons, and while we strive to assist everyone, our resources are limited. If you are interested in scheduling a shoot, we encourage you to reach out with details about your project at your earliest convenience.
During your visit, we kindly ask that you respect the environment by avoiding disturbance to plants and wildlife and ensuring that paths remain unobstructed for other visitors. Drones are never permitted on the premises without prior authorization.
Each member of your party will be required to pay the admission fee and you may be subject to additional fees based on the scope of your project.
Thank you for considering Tohono Chul as your filming location!
