Treat yourself to our homage to the cult of the fiery chile – and decadent chocolate – two of the ingredients that define life in the Southwest! During the day, vendors feature chile- and Southwest-inspired crafts and chile- and chocolate-enhanced foodstuffs and culinary delights — everything from hand-ground moles and chile-flavored beers to chile shaped pottery and chile print aprons; chile roasters and ornamental and edible chile plants for sale, too. Food trucks featuring everything from ice cream and hot dogs to pizza and mesquite waffles will be seasoning things up with chiles and chocolate. And there’s music! From youthful mariachis to soothing Native American Flutes.

Founded in 1992 as a small Latin Jazz group, Descarga has grown into a ten-piece band under the creative direction of Rafael Moreno. During the evening, expect the vibrant stylings of Salsa, Cumbia and Merengue as well as Latin Jazz instrumentals and, of course, some original Descarga compositions! The Mobile Bistro will be on hand beginning at 6pm with a chile-inspired menu and a cash bar featuring chile infused beers and other libations.
