Director of Finance –

Tohono Chul seeks an independent, yet team-oriented and energetic Director of Finance who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and who is well-suited to working collaboratively with the Board of Directors, staff, docents and volunteers.  The Director of Finance is responsible for providing monthly financial statements and an annual budget to the Board of Directors and Management Team.

Director of Education –

Tohono Chul seeks a community-oriented Director of Education well-suited to focusing working collaboratively with a small and enthusiastic staff. he Director of Education has direct responsibility for quality public programming which reflects Tohono Chul’s overall goal of connecting nature, art and culture in the Sonoran Desert region. Interacting directly and indirectly with members and guests on a regular basis, the Director of Education is responsible for an engaging and exceptional visitor experience, while developing and maintaining relationships with other museums, botanical gardens and community organizations. The Director of Education supervises the Interpretive Programs Manager and Volunteer Services Coordinator in Education and the Curator and Assistant Curator of Exhibitions in Exhibits, as well as assisting other department directors and the Executive Director as requested.​The Director’s duties involve leadership, planning, administration and supervision. ​ View the entire job description here.


Volunteer Services Coordinator – UPDATED

The Volunteer Services Coordinator is responsible for the advancement of the volunteer program at Tohono Chul through the active recruitment, screening, orientation/training, scheduling and supervision of Tohono Chul’s volunteer corps. The Coordinator also interacts directly and indirectly with the visiting public on a regular basis and plays a key role in ensuring an exceptional visitor experience. The Coordinator’s duties involve leadership, planning, administration, record keeping, and supervision. Maintenance/Custodial Assistant

Tohono Chul seeks a team-oriented Maintenance/Custodial Assistant who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and who is well-suited to working collaboratively with staff and volunteers. Responsible for performing custodial duties, maintenance and other miscellaneous duties to ensure Tohono Chul’s grounds and buildings are clean, healthy, safe, sanitary and in good working order. Working conditions include outdoor environment, extreme temperatures, cleaning materials and equipment and lifts or carries heavy objects.  This position requires a flexible workweek with potential to work on evenings, nights, and holidays. Private Events Set-up Coordinator

Tohono Chul seeks a team-oriented Private & Special Event Set-up team member who will thrive in a fast-paced environment and who is well-suited to working collaboratively with staff and volunteers. Performs a variety of routine functions in support of banquet events. Sets up and breaks down event spaces both in and out of doors, per guest specifications, and performs side work as assigned. Working conditions include outdoor environment, extreme temperatures, cleaning and storing equipment.
