How did the Old Pueblo become the Old Pueblo? Although ancient people and later the Hohokam were living along the banks of the Santa Cruz River 4,000 years ago, August 20, 1775 has become Tucson’s official birthday. Join public historian, Ken Scoville to wish Tucson a 249th birthday and to learn more about the founding of the Old Pueblo and how a simple Spanish Presidio became the city we know today.
