The celebration of El Día de los Muertos is a joyful occasion of remembrance, involving feasts and festivities through which death is recognized as part of the natural process of living. Contemporary celebrations blend ancient traditions with modern interpretations and have become a vibrant part of Tucson’s cultural landscape. Learn more about how the artists in this exhibition explore themes of memory, identity, and transformation through their creative work.
